It has been too long...

Hi family and friends!
It truly has been too long. It has been over two years since I returned to the U.S. from the Gap Year. Still, the impact it had on my life has not withered. I am thankfully still a completely different person.
So, Hello! And welcome back to my blog. I have decided that I want to continue to use this platform periodically as a way to share bits and pieces from my life. The purpose is not to share this with as many people as possible, but instead to use this as a platform to look back on the things that God is doing, and has done, in my life.
To catch you up to speed here are some pictures from the last two years!
I find the easiest way to do this is to bullet point all of the things... so here we go:
I went to BIOLA University after the gap year as a pre-med student.
Through a roundabout way, in January of 2024 I moved to Kansas to pursue a career in Emergency Medical Services with the help of some amazing people.
I attended Creighton University in the summer of 2024 to get my EMT License.
I was hired as an EMT in the metro Kansas City area in the fall 2024.
I got enaged in November of 2024.
I got married in May of 2025.
It has been a crazy ride, and its just the begining. I have been incrdibly and undeservingly blessed along the way. I have seen how Gods' mighty plan is sewn in inexplicable ways.
Present Day
As I write this, I am in my office at work just waiting for the oncoming shift to arrive or for a 911 call to drop. As an EMT on an ambulance in KS, I work 24-hr shifts. My husband is a firefighter/EMT in the metro area, which is convnient because we get to connect throught our jobs!
I absolutely love my job! It's fun, exciting, sad, unsettling, scary, and rewarding all at once.
God sightings!
Listening to a sermon on Psalm 150, in which all the writer does is to PRAISE God, I realized that I do not praise God enough. It was a convincting moment for me. I realized that Pslam 150 is a summary of all of the other Psalms. The writer is closing out the book by reminding the audience that no matter what happens in life, the only answer that should come out of our mouths is a humble praise! What a gift that is. What a ligt burden we have been given through faith in Christ Jesus.
Random things happening!
If you have made it this far I would love to share with you a little about one of my highschool best friends Eli Leblanc. Eli and I met in 9th grade history class. We co-led our high school youth group and had incredible fellowship. I was recently talking to him and he shared that he is currently suport rasing to full time join Cru staff at Florida State University. As some of yall may have heard, the school is in desperate need for Chirst. Good news though... the strong party culture, and hypersuxualisation, and violence on campus has left a lot of people searching and asking questions. A perfect atmosphere for strong minitry relationships. Linked is his Cru support raising page. If any of you reading this feel convicted to support him, his contact info is at the bottom of the page.
Anyways, like I shared earlier I plan to continue to use this page to share more about what God is doing in my life. I would love for yall to continue to follow along. <3
Be blessed. And remeber that you are loved!!
Congratulations on so many levels, Alondra, especially for your marriage and your new job, and how much you enjoy it. I'm thrilled that you're choosing to pick this up again--your insights and deep heart for the Lord have always been an inspiration for me. I'm happy for you.
Thanks for picking this back up. Great to see all the pictures, especially of Jacob. God's grace and kindness be on your marriage and work together. Looking forward to following along as the story unfolds. Peace in Jesus, my sister.
